Elizabeta Maria Gonzalez
Hi, I’m Elizabeta.
I spent 15 years teaching and leading to transform inequitable systems as a public school teacher, professor, and dean. As a professional learning facilitator, I support organizations, schools, and communities in transforming at the individual, interpersonal, and institutional levels for justice, equity and collective liberation. Through my work in institutions and study, I realized that justice and liberation work is bound up with ancestral trauma and intergenerational conditioning by the dominant culture; this put me on a path of ancestral reconnection and remembering. This includes reclaiming ancestral spiritual practices and intuitive ways of knowing. Plant allies like cacao, yarrow, and motherwort and the five elements support this path. I am currently an Ancestral Lineage Healing Practitioner in Training with the Ancestral Medicine Network. I am passionate about helping people reconnect with earth reverence and ancestral gifts to resource solidarity efforts for collective liberation and to disrupt dominant conditioning. My people hail from Ireland, Spain, England, Mexico, Scotland, and Wales. I reside throughout each year in Boulder, Baltimore, Sacramento, and Santa Cruz la Laguna Guatemala, pidiendo perdón on the lands of the Cheyenne, Ute, Arapahoe, Piscataway Susquehannock, Miwok, and Kaqchikel people.
